HOTEL
We have selected the AC Hotel Paris Porte Maillot as the wedding hotel and hub. They have set up a dedicated booking link for our guests. We highly recommend booking your room as soon as possible - you can book now and cancel without fee until 120 days before reservation start date.
We strongly encourage guests to stay at the selected hotel, at least on the night of the wedding (Dec 31). The AC Hotel will be the only pickup spot for our arranged shuttles, which will take guests to and from the wedding venue. It will also be the venue for Thursday's brunch.
If you must book elsewhere, we strongly advise you choose something within walking distance of our selected hotel, and on the same side of the Seine River. Paris closes all its bridges on NYE - it will be impossible to drive across the Seine on Dec 31.
Because it will be New Year's Eve, you should also assume that all other forms of transportation will be unavailable, and that traffic throughout the city will be worse than it is in downtown San Francisco during Dreamforce.

TRAVELING TO FRANCE

Passports
Any U.S. citizens entering France need to have a valid passport, which is valid for at least 3 months beyond your departure date, and which has at least one blank page availbale for stamps.
ETIAS Update
U.S. travelers no longer need to worry about ETIAS, as the requirement has been further delayed until the last quarter of 2026.
Additional Travel Planning
If you are planning to spend any time in the U.K. before or after your time in Paris, please note that a similar electronic travel authorization ("ETA") did launch on January 8, 2025. Any U.S. travelers entering the United Kingdom will need to obtain this authorization; for passengers connecting through the U.K., you will only need an ETA if you will pass through border control. Once you've applied, approval for the U.K. ETA should be granted within three working days and is valid for two years. More information can be found here.
